Over the years, I've been asked for information on the one-of-a-kind art dolls I used to make. These pages are an effort to give a sampling of my work. This is only a partial representation of the dolls I have made. It is not a complete catalogue. If you are trying to identify one of my dolls and don't see it here, you may contact me at melissa AT melissawyatt DOT com.

A bit of information on the dolls:

All dolls pictured here were hand-sculpted by me from a polymer clay called Puppen Fimo between 1993 and 1998.

These dolls are not available for sale. All dolls are in private collections. I do not have any dolls. I no longer make dolls.

Dolls ranged in height from 18" to 26". I'm sorry but I don't have exact measurements on all dolls. All dolls had stuffed cloth bodies with polymer clay heads, chest plates, arms and legs. Eyes were either glass or "glastic." Hair was primarily kid mohair or (in some of the lady dolls) viscose fiber.

At the present time, this site represents only the larger dolls. I did also make many one-of-a-kind one inch scale dollhouse dolls and hope to provide pictures of some of those at a later date.

These are scans of film photographs, so apologies for any fuzzy images. Photos were taken in the days before digital cameras.
