WRITING SITES Cynthia Leitich Smith Children's Literature Resources: I couldn't decide whether to put this under reading or writing sites. Actually, it deserves a category all its own for an exhaustive array of material on children's literature. Check it out! Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators: worldwide organization for those serious about writing for kids Smartwriters: great resource for published and unpublished children's writers Write4Kids.com: an exhaustive collection of information and links to get you well on your way READING SITES Genrefluent: very cool site with reviews of recent books of interest to teens SeeMe4Books: brilliant site with reviews of young adult books by real live actual young adults Reading Rants: another excellent YA review site Young Adult Library Services Association (aka YALSA): these are the folks what hand out the awards like the Printz and Best Books, etc., to YA novels, lists of which you can find at this site YA Authors Cafe: regular chats aimed at connecting readers, teachers and librarians with YA authors. Check out the website for scheduled guests and logs of previous chats. ROYALTY SITES Royalty News: keep up to date on what royalty all over the world is doing Most Eligible Princes in the World: this site hasn't been updated in a while, so some of these guys are off the market, but it's still worth a gander, just for fun MISCELLANEOUS STUFF Dark Shadows Stick Figure Theater: exactly what it says, slow-loading but worth it if you're a Dark Shadows fan (and who isn't?) National Gallery of Art: This is so cool! You can actually see nearly all of the artwork on display at the National Gallery in Washington D.C. I love the National Gallery and I love this site. This is where the Internet blows me away. Wilbur Buds: Buy Wilbur Buds on-line! The electronic age is truly amazing.
